Lawn Management
Lawns and grassed areas form an important part of many commercial landscapes.
Millstone Landscapes uses a wide range of professional lawn-maintenance machinery, including strimmers, hand mowers, ride-on mowers, scarifiers, aerators, rollers and tractor-driven flails.
Our teams can also undertake turfing or seeding where lawns need to be repaired or replaced.
This allows routine grass maintenance and more substantial lawn work to be considered as part of the same wider maintenance programme.

Border Management
Borders require ongoing seasonal work to keep planting properly maintained.
Millstone Landscapes carries out seasonal pruning and year-round border management, including:
- Shaping shrubs
- Weeding
- Monitoring plant welfare
- Mulching
- Edging borders within lawn areas
This helps ensure planted areas continue to be appropriately managed as the seasons change.
Arboricultural Works
Trees and larger vegetation can also form part of a commercial maintenance programme.
Millstone Landscapes' qualified tree surgeons carry out a range of arboricultural work, including:
- Tree felling
- Crown lifting
- Pollarding
- Clearance works
- Stump grinding
These services allow tree management to be incorporated alongside the wider maintenance of landscaped sites.

Spraying and Weed Control
Millstone Landscapes provides spraying services for landscaped and hard-standing areas.
The company's spraying operatives hold certification for the safe application of herbicides, fungicides and pesticides using knapsack equipment.
Applications can include treatment of areas such as:
- Car parks
- Kerb lines
- Pathways
- Shingle paths
Weed-and-feed treatments are also available for lawns, together with treatments for pests and diseases affecting trees and shrubs.
Planting
Our soft landscaping teams undertake shrub and tree planting schemes as part of wider landscaping and maintenance work.
Millstone Landscapes carries out planting for clients including local authorities and housing developers, using planting stock sourced from local nurseries.
Planting can form part of a new landscaping scheme, replacement work or the ongoing management of an existing site.
Short-Term and Long-Term Site Management
Different sites require different levels of landscape management.
Millstone Landscapes can provide both short-term and long-term management schemes, depending on the needs of the client and site.
Regular written reports can also be provided for individual projects where required.
For developers, Millstone can additionally provide land adoption support, working with local authorities and planners as part of the process.
Reliable and Regular Maintenance
Consistency is particularly important when maintaining commercial landscapes.
Millstone Landscapes agrees the required programme with the client and visits the site regularly to carry out the scheduled work in accordance with the estimate.
This allows maintenance to be planned around the specific requirements of the landscape rather than relying on occasional reactive visits.
Maintenance for New and Established Landscapes
Commercial landscape maintenance may be required for an established site or after completion of a new landscaping project.
Because Millstone Landscapes also provides landscape construction, planting, turfing, seeding and other commercial landscaping services, ongoing maintenance can follow naturally from the initial landscaping work.
This can help provide continuity between the creation of a landscaped area and its longer-term management.
